Sick Day Projects

Tuesday, February 8, 2011
Oh how I love my sketchbook!

Even when you're sick, it's perfectly portable....fits right between my blankie and Dr. Dog. (Yes, my dog loves it when I'm sick and stays on me like a heating pad!)

This girlie is a mix of sharpie, watercolor, Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and acrylic paint. It's all there layered and still wet when I took this photo.

Even started the layering process for a little graffiti inspired book....I'll show you more as it progresses.

And of course, my ever marching army of femme fatales! I'm obsessed with practicing those girlie faces....

Love the bright blue eyes on your latest!! Awesome! You are a journal/sketchbook queen. I'm taking an art journaling class on Saturday. Hope it jump starts me and gets me off dead center where this art journaling business is concerned. Hugs!

Tracie! Your sketchbook pages are beautiful. You have such a great sense of color... So happy you don't let not feeling well get in the way of your creativity! And so glad Dr. Dog is there comforting you! Feel better soon! Love!

Love the sketches. They look awesome! Love the colors on your girl there.

I'm still trying to get the hang of drawing faces.

Hope you feel better soon.
