Shades of Santa Fe

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Wooden miracles.....

Painted passages......

Sculpted Lady Saints......

Town Square baskets overflow......

Bells ring on the hour.......

Precious metals to be had.......

Shadowy shapes overhead......

Cornflower blues at street level.......

Lodge pole supports.......

Rooflines, bronze crosses and arches all around........

Secret passages to discover.......

Saints and angels to watch over ........

Yellow sunflowers draw birds.......

Stained glass reflections at dawn.......

Architectural glories abound.......

Wolves and Saints show the way......

The bluest of skies everyday......
Gentle spirits smile......

Curved entries call you close........

The Old and the New......

Scents float on gentle breezes.......

Signs to draw you in......

Shady resting places to linger.......

Domes and deep colors.......

Carvings at each store......

Fences of wood.....

Rustling leaves.......

Small quiet places....

Doorway delights......

Colors on corners.....

Candlelit dreams.......

Tequila and mango refreshers, heavy silver cuffs.......

Much sketching to be done.

Oh these photos! So luscious and filled with beauty. This is a place I've long wanted to visit and how I am loving seeing it through your eyes. Tequila and mango refreshers? Sign me up! (And I am even more excited to see the sketches these sights inspired.)
