The desert is not a parched place.
Rather, it's "water" for my creative life.
I spent the past week "filling the well".
Now I'm swimming in images, color, texture and taste.
I know what happens next.
It will spill out onto canvas and paper.
This is how the creative cycle is for me.
Filling up, spilling out.
And so I'll return to the easel this week . . .
And see what color comes . . .
What creature comes out from hiding . . .
What landscape wants to be revealed . . .
What shape wants to be excavated . . .
What exotic people want to be born . . .
What patterns emerge . . .
And which texture wants to be felt.
Energy in/Energy out.
