I admit it. I'm a cookie virgin. YES, I've eaten my share, but I've NEVER made cookies....ever!
So when I was invited to my first cookie exchange, I took it as an artistic challenge. These are the cookies I made above! Really! I can't tell you if their tasty or not, but they're kinda purty, don'tcha think?
(Secret: I stole the recipe here. Alisa Burke always has the bestest recipes!)
So I spent my Sunday making 5 dozen of those beauties (all whilst trying to keep my fingers out of the icing jar). My friends all laughed when I explained how I'd made a shopping trip to buy my first rolling pin and cookie sheets. I'm so not Martha Stewart.
Look what else showed up....oh I see a month of days on the treadmill in my future.
Do you believe the mountain of morsels?
At the end of the party, the hostess passed out big platters and had us make MULTIPLE trips around the table. We each gathered a bit of everything. (I kept in mind that toting the 5 pound platter round and round would help work off the calories. Right? Right.)
Merry Ho Ho Ho!

That is awesomely beautiful!! Congrats on the cookies...I LOVE that you took it as an artistic challenge. And if I must say, you definitely succeeded.
What a great idea for a party, too...wow. Such a mountain of yumminess.
your cookies look fantastic... and omg...... so many good ones... wow.. they all look so good!
Holy moly, you aren't kidding a mountain of goodies. I'm not sure I have ever seen that many in one spot. I'm not a baker either. Never have been. Good thing as there would not be enough hours in the day to exercise my ass off! Merry Christmas Tracie! Margie
